Vintage Trailer Rally!

It was a rare non-picking Saturday, but we went to nearby Tybee Island for a wonderful display of vintage campers. It was a perfect spring day for being outdoors and all of the campers were tricked out with vintage themes inside and out. The Tybee Campground made a natural spot for a rally (actually a fundraiser for several charities) and everyone there was really a happy camper!

 

Dogs were welcome and several campers had Scottie themes - we assumed because one of the brands of the "canned hams" was called a Scotty.

 

 

There were fabulous vingettes throughout with vintage table settings!  

Original light fixtures and accessories galore were

a treat for lovers of vintage and retro.

 

 

 

 

A Rare Weekday Picking Trip!

The Picking Sisters are working girls, so usually picking during the week is

out of the question. We headed to Tybee Island for 2 crack of dawn sales.

 Tybee Island is our local beach - we live only 18 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

Our early start was rewarded with 2 new treasures for our etsy site

and both have a smoking theme.

We loved this cool metal poster from 1980.  

It's hard to believe that smoking cigarettes was not only aceptable, but

that these cool ashtrays were made just for your card games.

They have a lovely salmon color ceramic base with a brass top.
