We are pickers. That means we travel the back roads, small town festivals and highway sales in search of vintage and retro junk, treasures, geegaws, bric-a-brac, bits and bobs from the 1940's-1970's. In other words, as my niece says, "it's really weird always looking through other people's stuff".
It's a good thing we can make each other laugh through getting up early, getting lost and sometimes coming up empty-handed. It's also a good idea to have a sense of humor - like when we're really hungry and the GPS we affectionately call Gertie takes us to a corn field in GA when we put in the address for the only restaurant even close to us. Lots of miles, tons of hand sanitizer and a dirty, messy car and worth every moment! If you can't make the trip yourself, follow along with our adventures.
